Steering Committee Set

Dec 8, 2025

A diverse group of Haines residents and agency representatives has been selected to help shape the Transportation Safety Action Plan. After reviewing letters of interest this fall, the project team selected members with the insight, experience, and commitment needed to strengthen transportation safety across Haines.

We were fortunate to receive interest from many community members. While we couldn’t include everyone on the Steering Committee, we appreciate those who put their names forward and hope all will stay engaged through the public process.

This Steering Committee will play a key role throughout the Safe Streets for All project. Members will review data findings, discuss community priorities, and provide feedback on draft materials and proposed safety strategies. Their perspectives will help ensure the final plan reflects real needs and experiences across Haines. Monthly meetings will continue through project completion, with the first gathering scheduled for mid-December.
